Tina Pepper is an award-winning film and television composer based in Berlin, known for her distinctive blend of classical training, electronic soundscapes, and deep knowledge of popular music.
Her journey began at the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), where she studied music before continuing her education at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, graduating with a Master’s degree in film scoring.
Since then, she has composed music for a wide range of acclaimed projects, including award-winning films such as Combat Girl (David Wnendt) and Teardrop (Damian John Harper), independent features like Away You Go(Philipp Eichholtz), and the Amazon Original series You Are Wanted (Matthias Schweighöfer). In 2020, her score for the TV series Rampensau earned her the German Television Award for Best Music, followed by a nomination for the German Music Authors’ Prize in 2022 in the category ‘Music in Audiovisual Media’.
With a signature style that fuses bold, edgy ideas with emotional depth, she brings a unique sonic identity to every project. Her compositions range from dark and suspenseful to emotionally rich and action-driven, often weaving together acoustic and electronic elements to create immersive sound worlds.
Currently, she is toying with the idea of sampling her dog snoring in the studio—possibly the first step toward building a truly unprecedented instrument.
