Composer and saxophonist Daisy Coole has collaborated with Tom Nettleship for over a decade, composing distinctive, narrative-driven work for screen and stage. Their title song for the TV drama The Wives was nominated for Best Original Composition for Film & TV Titles at the 2025 Music and Sound Awards, following their 2023 nomination for Best Television Score for For Her Sins. Their music has been featured in The New York Times, heard at the United Nations General Assembly, and performed live at the Royal Albert Hall in London.   Upcoming work for the duo includes Sheryl Glubok’s screwball road comedy Welcome to the Fishbowl, starring Natalie Gold, Jeremy Swift and Marin Hinkle, for which they wrote a jazz-orchestral score combining strings and a wind and brass octet with a jazz piano trio. They are also composing an original score for a 2,000-seat production of The Tempest in California, featuring players from the Fresno Philharmonic, bringing their film-scoring sensibility to Shakespeare’s final play.   Notable projects include British heist The Pay Day (Starz, Amazon) starring Simon Callow, award-winning US feature Ask For Jane, Rohingya refugee documentary Shanti Khana narrated by Ashley Judd, and the BFI London Film Festival Award-winning short Two Minutes.   Alongside their screen work, Daisy and Tom are writing and recording their debut artist EP, which is rooted in spiritual and contemporary jazz.   Daisy serves on the board of the Alliance for Women Film Composers as Secretary and Co-Director of UK Relations, has juried for BAFTA, the Ivor Novello Awards and the Music and Sound Awards, and was instrumental in helping to shape The Ivors Academy campaign to End Ghostwriting in the UK media composer community.
